AICUR is an undergraduate conference which offers students (from first to final year) from any Higher Education Institution (HEI) across Ireland the opportunity to present their research and showcase their research accomplishments.
This year’s theme is: Innovating for Impact: Undergraduate Research Shaping Tomorrow
The deadline for receipt of abstracts is Wednesday, 25th February 2026!
Submission Guidelines
We invite undergraduate students to submit original research for presentation at the conference. Submissions should clearly communicate the purpose, significance, and outcomes of your work and be accessible to an interdisciplinary undergraduate audience.
Eligibility
- Submissions must be authored or co-authored by undergraduate students.
- Research may be completed, in progress, or exploratory, but it must represent original undergraduate work.
- Students may submit to only one presentation format.
- Research from all disciplines and fields is welcome - Arts, Education, Humanities, Sciences, Business, etc.

Leah Shanahan
Keynote speaker
We are very fortunate to have Leah Shanahan as our keynote speaker this year.
Originally from Kerry, Leah studied Product Design and Technology at the University of Limerick, graduating in August 2025. For her final year project, Leah designed a pregnancy test for blind and visually impaired women, focusing on independence, dignity, and inclusive healthcare design. Leah is currently working as a product designer at Dolmen Design and Innovation in Dublin, while continuing to develop her final year project alongside her professional practice.
