On Friday, 23 January 2026, the School of Law at the University of Limerick hosted a special event in collaboration with the Irish Méndez Centre for Investigative Interviewing. The event, which was entitled ‘An Introduction to the Role of Intermediaries’, focused on the implementation of the intermediary special measure in criminal proceedings both in Ireland and internationally.
The event involved three papers and an interactive Roundtable Q&A:

The event was co-ordinated by Dr. Alan Cusack and Professor Yvonne Daly (DCU) who are the directors of the Irish Mendez Centre for Investigative Interviewing. The event was supported by COST Action CA22128.
