Erasmus+ is the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.

It has an estimated budget of €26.2 billion. The 2021-2027 programme places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life.

Erasmus+ supports language learning, teaching, and exchange initiatives. This enables both students and teachers to take part in immersive language experiences, which foster their linguistic and cultural skills.

English Language, Irish Culture and Society 

This course is a rich blend of language learning and insight into contemporary Irish history, society and culture. Enhance your English language skills, communicative ability and vocabulary, while also learning about Ireland.

Topics will include: 

Contemporary Irish history, music and dance, changing Irish society, literature, myths and legends, the Irish language. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • gain a deeper understanding of Irish history, society and culture
  • practise and improve your intercultural skills
  • develop enhanced English vocabulary

Participation fee: €500

Price includes: 

  • 20 hours tuition (four hours per day)
  • Welcome gifts
  • Welcome dinner
  • Cultural excursion to the iconic Bunratty Castle and Folk Park

Please note that accommodation, insurance, travel costs, etc. are not included in the €500.
