The Glucksman Library offers a range of self-paced learning resources in Brightspace to support your learning and coursework. These toolkits help you develop your skills in finding, evaluating and using information for coursework. You can work through the toolkits from start to finish or dip into specific sections whenever you need.
Glucksman Library Assignment Toolkit
The Assignment Toolkit is designed to guide you through every stage of completing a written assignment. It helps you search for relevant, high-quality information, evaluate sources critically, and reference correctly.
This toolkit is available to all UL students, but it’s especially useful for first-years or anyone returning to higher education after a break.
Glucksman Library Special Collections and Archives Toolkit
The Special Collections and Archives Department in the Glucksman Library at UL is dedicated to acquiring, preserving, and providing access to unique and distinct materials including rare books, manuscripts, archives, and other primary sources, as well as collections of supporting published materials.
The Special Collections and Archives Toolkit illustrates how to explore these materials and explains how to access, and use these unique materials in your coursework and research.
Glucksman Library Research Information Toolkit
The Research Information Toolkit supports students on taught postgraduate programmes as they learn how to find relevant and high-quality information for their literature reviews. This toolkit may also be useful for PhD students developing foundational research skills.
Glucksman Library Getting Started with Podcasting
The Getting started with Podcasting course introduces you to the podcasting tools and audio spaces available in the Glucksman Library. Once you complete the course and pass the quiz, you can book and use the Library's Audio Labs to create and share your own podcast.
