Kemmy Business School is to recruit 10 new academics as part of University of Limerick’s multi-million-euro investment in research talent.

The institution has launched ‘UL Changemakers’, a major internationally focused recruitment campaign designed to attract exceptional researchers who are ready to innovate, lead, and change the future in the region, nationally and internationally

Kemmy Business School (KBS) will see a total of 10 new academics posts across a range of disciplines including Full Professor of Economics, Associate Professor positions in Management and Marketing as well as Assistant Professorial roles in Accounting and Finance, and Work and Employment Studies.

KBS is among the 1% of international business schools who are holders of three coveted international business school accreditations, namely AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA.

The significant investment in research talent is targeted at recruiting excellent academics from around the world who are seeking opportunities to advance their careers in a vibrant, inclusive, and high-performing research environment.

UL Changemakers aims to strengthen the University’s research performance and reputation, while fostering an inclusive and welcoming community for academics.

The campaign underscores UL’s commitment to cultivating a research culture that is globally competitive, socially engaged, guided by the principles of academic freedom and focused on addressing some of the world’s greatest challenges.

Acting President Professor Shane Kilcommins said: “UL Changemakers represents a bold and necessary investment in the power of research to shape a better future.

“At UL, we believe that world class scholarship does more than advance knowledge, it informs policy, strengthens communities, and delivers meaningful benefits to society. By attracting exceptional researchers from across the globe, we are deepening our capacity to address humanity’s greatest challenges and expanding the intellectual horizons that drive discovery.

“This initiative signals our commitment to a research culture that is ambitious, inclusive, and internationally competitive.

“UL has always been a university that looks outward with purpose, and with this investment, we are reaffirming our belief that research, at its very best, changes lives.”

Executive Dean of KBS Professor Finbarr Murphy said: “UL Changemakers and the expansion of Kemmy Business School academic numbers, demonstrates our commitment to regional and national impact through research. Diverse expertise, fresh perspectives, and deeper engagement will also contribute to enriching the learning experience for our students".
