The University of Limerick campus came alive with light, laughter, and culture as UL Global is collaboration with UL PSU, hosted Diwali 2025, a spectacular celebration of one of the world’s most vibrant festivals.

UL Global extended a warm céad míle fáilte this week as they hosted their Welcome Week for over 1,500 newly arrived international students marking the start of their academic journey in Limerick. 

As we begin the new academic year in Ireland, we want to extend the warmest welcome
to all our students and staff who are coming to our Universities for the first time or
returning to Ireland. We are proud that our Universities are places of shared learning,
research, knowledge generation and idea exchange.

A European University Alliance led by University of Limerick is committed to building ‘a more connected and more inclusive European future through education’.

Today UL Global hosted a Global Education Agent familiarisation trip to the UL Campus (facilitated by the OnCampus Ireland Group). This group of global education agents hailed from all over the world including Southeast Asia, China, the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
